The Infant and Toddler Care certificate is designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills to work with children under the age of 3 in childcare settings.
In this 6-course program, you will:
- Be taught the fundamentals of infant and toddler development, including planning and implementing programs in group care
- Study topics such as developmental milestones, abnormal development and disease, parenting, family dynamics, and appropriate care practices for infants to 36 months of age
- Learn to identify and choose age-appropriate learning exercises
- Examine cognitive, physical, social, and emotional changes that develop in early childhood
Note: Completion of this certificate does not qualify you to apply for teaching licensure.
